Hi! I'm Jen.
Here's a quick look at me.
First, I'm a wife and mother to the best two people in the world. My husband and I have been together thirteen years, and we have a beautiful daughter. We met at a ski resort in Washington, and never looked back; we've been snowboarding together ever since. During these years, we've lived in Washington, Montana, Utah, Arizona and now Colorado. I think we're here to stay. Summer months find us traveling through the western United States, mostly by car, visiting as many National Parks and historic sites as we can. We've seen nearly every National Park west of the Mississippi.
Second, I'm a genealogist. Having stayed home with our daughter the last two years, I am hoping to turn my passion into a career, and run with it. My focus for the past twelve months has been on creating a reputation using my blog, social media and other outlets to gain notice. Next up is submitting my portfolio to the Board for Certified Genealogists. This is a intimidating and exciting venture, and I am looking forward to the process.
The Colorado High Country has been wonderful for our family. We love having the ski area 10 minutes from our house, we have hiking, mountain biking and wildlife literally outside our front and back door's, and the character of the Town of Breckenridge is just right for us. I am surrounded by interesting history and a nearly blank canvas in the world of genealogical research.
